1980-86
Getting started and the first big project
The company’s history began in the 1980s, when János Treszner, the founder of the group, started working as a part-time electrician. He started his career with a drilling machine given to him by his parents, but he never forgot about self-improvement alongside his work – he was constantly training himself because he believed that the money spent on self-improvement was the best investment.
This is a principle he still holds today, extending it to his staff and the next generation.
He has passed 60 years of age, but by setting an example for the younger generation, he is still learning and open to new ideas.
1991
First major partner
In 1991 János became a full-time artisan. In 1992, he was entrusted with the alarm and electrical maintenance of one of the country’s major logistics and financial institutions. This was such an extra capacity that János had to be supported by his parents at first.
1994
Treszner Group of Companies
As a result of increasing customer demand, the Treszner Group was founded in 1994, with its headquarters in the basement of a family house in Pécs. At the beginning in the group started with 3 employees.
By the 2000s, with 20 employees, the Treszner Group had a completed increasingly complex projects, including the electrical construction of the country’s largest network of filling stations in three counties.
Thanks to customer satisfaction, in 2002 the Group succeeded in winning the building maintenance contract for all the service stations in the Transdanubian region, and later the general contractor contract for the refurbishments.
2002-05
The emergence of business sectors
By 2002, the group had grown to the point where it won the tender for the building maintenance of the country’s largest network of service stations. This success marked further significant development and progress.
In 2005, the acquisition of a company launched the network installation business of the Treszner Group, as well as the execution of electrical and construction projects for our foreign partners
2006-07
Significant progress in the Group

The group has been working for Hungary’s largest electricity supplier since 2006
Since 2007, the group has been approached again by Hungary’s largest oil company, which has won us the contract to provide energy services at one of its sites, which we carry out with 27 people.
Since 2007, one of Europe’s largest drugstore chains has chosen Treszner Group for its regular electrical work.
2010-13
Strenchtening general construction
In 2010, the general contracting business also started to grow with the construction of an apartment building, followed by a 13-apartment condominimum in 2013.
2014-18
Successful expansion in Germany
Since 2014, one of the largest construction companies in Germany has been a regular customer of the companies founded by János Treszner. The projects carried out in Germany for one of Germany’s largest car brands, a market-leading technology company and other major international corporations, among others, have greatly improved the quality of the Group’s service and added considerable experience..
In 2018, the Group also gained the trust of Hungary’s second largest electricity supplier.
2020-21
Starting a generational change
In 2020, with the help of external consultants, the Group started to prepare the next generation to take over the Group. This intensive preparation will take 8 years.
2021
Organisational transformation
In order to raise professional standards, the Group now employs nearly 200 people and the number of engineers has doubled. In addition to our employees, we have partnerships with 250 subcontractors and provide high quality services in 5 countries.
Our employees, who are consciously selected and integrated into the team, are constantly undergoing training and development.
With a complex management system and a strong team spirit, we look forward to the growth and exciting challenges ahead.
